I pilfered the title “Ark-Ark bird” from Australian musician Adam Gibsons’ band the Ark-Ark birds.
Adam Gibson is a marvellous songwriter who has a very unique ability to capture minute of Australian life and aptly verbalises those experiences to paint a very clear picture.
His ability to set a scene & evoke memories is so strong that you can instantly recall simple life pleasures & experiences like your favourite childhood lolly, the smell of the local bakery, summer holidays with the fam, sun burn, streets you lived in, neighbourhood hooligans, bands you’ve seen & the cars you drove.
Inspired by great Australian songwriters Adam Gibson, Paul Kelly & Mick Thomas I want to create an artistic vernacular which is uniquely mine, which tells stories that people can relate to on their own personal level.
