Oceanic X-rays

$300.00 inc GST

Description

We x-rayed the ocean to capture the motion, a skeletal view of the deep blue

Plankton in their thousands, no millions, frozen in their tracks, whale snackpacks

We could see the seaweed like we’d never seen the seaweed, snapped mid ebb, no flow, anchored in the seafloor below

Stingrays x-rayed , splayed flat like a hit & run cat. Filter feeders, full moon breeders, coral spawn, new reefs born

We captured a choir of urchin & something lurkin, a creature from the deep, not knowing makes the swimmer creep

An octopus’ legs all bent, not legs, tentacles or is it benticles?

An old bicycle, paint dull, back wheel rusted in place, a long time since its last race.

A shipwrecked hull becomes a skeletal fish retreat, a  sailors grave, the sea wont be beat

Sirens update natures scoreboard, the result was known before the ship sailed from the safe harbour where it moored

the sea -1 sailors-0

This is a place for sea creatures, not land lubbers waste

We dont want another natural environment going to waste

If we make this environment polluted its natural beauty becomes muted…..what a waste.
