I embraced a loose chaotic nature for this piece. Working fast, making marks, building a scene & all of a sudden there’s a galah.
Energetic brush strokes of dusty, rosy pinks & rich, natural greens bring a real sense of Australian to the work. Don’t take it too seriously……..it’s meant to be fun.
Inspired by the ridiculous antics of galahs that visit our bird feeder. Colourful clowns that put on a show, wings outstretched, chests puffed out, crests thrown high & squawking “look at me”. Just like Johnny Rotten.
